The position is located at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio and will be filled as a General Engineer (0801), a Computer Scientist (1550), or an Information Technology Specialist (2210) or 1101. This job announcement is open to DR-03, DO-03, or equivalent.The position serves as the Product Owner in the Digital Service Delivery & Support Division.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Adoption & Value: Drives adoption, monitors usage, measures benefits, and generates demand to maximize AFRL ROI.
- Stakeholder Management: Fosters partnerships across AFRL, DAF, and vendors, and regularly advises leadership on IT strategies, plans, and issues.
- Roadmap Strategy: Maintains the internal implementation roadmap and influences vendor priorities using illustrative use cases.
- Execution & Implementation: Clears adoption hurdles and plans Agile digital pilots/pathfinders for broader enterprise scaling.
- Process & Risk Mitigation: Enhances IZD division service delivery, manages risk assessments/corrective plans, and shapes flexible contracting models.
- Required Qualifications:
- US Citizenship.
- Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the previous or equivalent grade level of the position being advertised.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance (TS/SCI).
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.

- Information Technology (IT) Specialist (2210): To meet eligibility of an IT Specialist, applicants must meet the following basic requirements. Experience that demonstrated accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a wide range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques pertinent to the position to be filled. This knowledge is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant analyzed several alternative approaches in the process of advising management concerning major aspects of IT system design, such as what system interrelationships must be considered, or what operating mode, system software, and/or equipment configuration is most appropriate for a given project. - Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with classified IT systems and/or networks.
