The Mission:
The AFRL Technology Transition Directorate (RR) is seeking visionary, interdisciplinary Science & Engineering (S&E) professionals to join our Architecture and Systems Engineering (ASE) Mission Integration Teams (MITs).

This is your opportunity to directly shape the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) architecture. You won't just be acquiring and maintaining systems; you will be establishing the technical battle rhythm, coordinating multi-domain efforts, and developing the critical architecture that defends the nation.

The Role:

We are hiring for multiple vacancies across three of our elite Mission Integration Teams (MITs): Air, Maritime, and Land.

As a MIT Systems Engineer, you will serve as the crucial bridge between the Operational Community, the Science & Technology (S&T) Community, and the Acquisition Community. You will leverage multi-domain expertise, advanced analytics, and cutting-edge modeling, simulation, and analysis tools to mature affordable concepts into field-ready capabilities.

What You Will Do:

The DAF C3BM MIT Process is fast-paced and highly impactful. In this role, you will take operational requirements and drive them through to execution.

1. Operational Analysis: Translate complex operational and functional requirements from the field into rigorous, actionable technical requirements.

2. Architecture Definition: Design and blueprint capability architectures, ensuring flawless integration and interoperability with the broader, enterprise-wide DAF C3BM architecture.

3. Solution Management: Identify capability risks and collaborate directly with the Science & Technology Community, Industry and Partners to engineer innovative mitigation strategies.

4. Execution Integration: Formulate and deliver comprehensive requirements strategies to guide the Acquisition Community.

5. Integrated Assessment: Partner with Acquisition and Test & Evaluation communities to validate capabilities through hands-on exercise and experimentation before delivering them to the warfighter.

Who We Are Looking For:

Strategic Thinkers: You can see the big picture and understand how individual systems integrate into a massive, multi-domain enterprise.

Technical Leaders: You have the expertise to formulate plans, set goals, and establish Research & Development (R&D) efforts.

Collaborative Communicators: You excel at driving coordination and communication across diverse functional teams.

Why Join Us?

Apply today and bring your expertise to the ASE! This is a rare opportunity to tackle complex, national-level engineering challenges, drive technological transition, and build the future of DAF C3BM.
